The article includes a slideshow featuring the publication’s annual ranking of the Best Undergraduate Insurance Programs. Insurance is a category in the publication’s 2019 breakdown of best colleges. The article says information about the top college insurance programs may help property/casualty organizations and companies in their search for top talent as the industry continues to face recruitment challenges. The author says these ranking also may be helpful to aspiring insurance professionals and students searching for underwriting or risk management programs. Property/Casualty 360 03/05/2019

    Spotlight on: marijuana and employment

More states are passing legislation permitting medical and/or recreational marijuana use, which raises the inevitable employment-related questions. This article discusses: whether employers need to accommodate off-duty and on-duty marijuana use; whether workers compensation can be denied for an injured worker testing positive for marijuana use; and whether workers compensation can reimburse injured workers for medical marijuana. The Pulse is a mutual insurance industry publication that aims to help companies understand emerging issues. Articles in the Pulse offer advice on how to grow and protect business. The Pulse is printed four times a year and the impact of the Pulse reaches throughout the Mid-Atlantic states through readers from our many member companies.

Companies are encouraged to submit articles for each edition. To submit, please contact PAMIC directly at bmlynek@pamic.org.

Companies are welcome to advertise through the PAMIC Pulse. Advertisements can be traditional or interactive. Traditional ads are placed directly into the magazine based on the advertisers preferred size. Interactive ads are more flexible and are included in the digital version of the publication. Interactive ads include scroll-over banners, videos, and interactive graphics. These advertising opportunities are valuable chances to support the industry and be placed directly in front of the eyes of our membership.

To submit an advertisement in the PAMIC Pulse, contact our Advertising Specialist.
