Due to their unusual and often hidden attributes, the damage assessment on sinkhole claims can be daunting for the Claims Adjuster. This presentation focuses on how and why sinkholes form, typical stabilization methods utilized for sinkhole remediation and structure repair, and the importance of engaging a team of professional engineers and geologists to assist the Claims Adjuster in evaluating sinkhole claims. Employing a team approach enhances the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the claims process, while also reducing the risk of future litigation.
