This year, PAMIC’s program focuses on hot topics in the industry such as property reinsurance, parametrics, cyber risk coverage trends, and industry results. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is significantly transforming the insurance sector, with its impact expected to deepen further. This educational session will delve into the essence of AI and its swift evolution. We will explore how AI is revolutionizing the industry, from scanning applications and pre-underwriting risks by gathering risk characteristics provided by technological solutions, to the entire claims processes. Additionally, we will address the challenges posed by AI, including regulatory and fairness concerns, and discuss necessary guardrails to prevent the misuse of AI.

The pressure on Mutual property writers (personal, farm and commercial) to manage the profitability of their portfolios has never been more intense.  The multi-year effects of inflation, increased reinsurance costs and elevated CAT activity have carriers leveraging new and innovative ways to navigate these challenging times.  The panel of industry experts will share their experiences as to how they are bringing innovation in analytics, aerial imagery, aggregation management tools and risk inspections to manage the performance of their property portfolios.
