Employers face an increased risk of COVID-19-related employment practices liability ("EPL") claims as more employees return to the workplace while the virus continues to spread in many states and cities. EPL claims related to COVID-19 could target a wide range of employment practices, from claims alleging employers failed to take proper steps to reduce health and safety risks for their workforce to claims alleging employers discriminated against employees with COVID-19 concerns. Employers with workforces returning to the workplace should evaluate their employment practices liability insurance ("EPLI") policies to assess coverage and how they might respond to COVID-19-related EPL claims.

Cyber is a topic on everyone’s minds these days. We live in an ever increasingly interconnected world, with quickly emerging technologies and a new remote working world. Cyber threat actors are taking advantage of the connected world for a variety of reasons including generating revenue, stealing intellectual property or pursuing national interests. Companies and individuals must respond to protect their assets. This can be through strengthening their cyber security and awareness. Additionally, cyber insurance provides a value tool to help indemnify victims of cyber threat actors. The U.S. government is also mobilizing to respond to these growing threats against U.S. companies and individuals.
