PAMIC UPDATES

Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies

ABOUT US

The Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC) is a trade association that has proudly represented the Mutual Insurance Industry since 1907. Our membership comprises some of the most historic companies in the industry, along with new companies who are thriving under the same model. Today our member groups represent many property and casualty insurers licensed to do business in Pennsylvania. While we are based in Pennsylvania, PAMIC membership represents the majority of the Mid-Atlantic region. Our companies hail from: Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Virginia.

Beyond mutual companies, we represent over 130 market members who are crucial in upholding the value and operations of our member groups. Some examples of our associates are: law firms, accounting firms, reinsurance companies, restoration companies and technology firms. Our mission is to continue the illustrious history of the Mutual Insurance Industry through our three pillars: Advocacy, Education, and Networking.

Meet Our New President, Sarah DiCello

Sarah DiCello comes to PAMIC with a strong association management, marketing, and communication background. Her experience and skill set are ideal for moving PAMIC forward in the coming years. Sarah began working in communications and marketing for the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association. She followed this with a Communications and Marketing Manager position for the International Association for the Leisure and Entertainment Industry. In both positions, Sarah served as the editor for the association’s publications and marketed the association to a broader audience.

Sarah's adaptability and versatility were evident in her roles at Graphtech, where she seamlessly transitioned from Publications Manager to Sales Manager, Financial Director, and eventually President over 13 years. Her diverse responsibilities included collaborating with PAMIC (over eight years) on the PULSE publication and partnering with numerous companies on print/digital publications and brand marketing campaigns. As President, Sarah successfully led a team of almost 50 employees.

Sarah's leadership skills were honed and proven when she took on the role of Executive Vice President for the International Adventure and Trampoline Park Association. In this capacity, Sarah not only oversaw all aspects of the day-to-day operations, strategic and financial planning, membership retention and prospecting, and database/website maintenance, but also managed an organization with members spanning North America, the UK, Asia, South & and Central America, and Australia. Her ability to navigate diverse international landscapes underscored her exceptional leadership. Sarah was also responsible for reporting legislative activity in all 50 states to her Government Affairs Committee and Board of Directors focusing on industry regulation, employee and customer safety, and taxation issues.

Sarah's academic achievements have also played a significant role in her professional success. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University, where she developed a strong foundation in her field. Her Master's degree from George Washington University further enhanced her knowledge and equipped her with advanced skills that she has successfully applied in her roles. Sarah and her husband and two daughters live in Camp Hill, PA.

At this important and free-to-members event, you will have the opportunity to hear from PA Insurance Commissioner Michael Humphreys, as well as be updated on the most pressing issues that could impact the insurance industry.  Take advantage of this event to update seasoned employees or educate new employees of the ever-changing regulatory environment and how it affects operations.
